DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 30, 2024 — Journalists can submit applications to Merck Foundation’s Africa Media Recognition Awards “More Than a Mother”.
Media representatives and media students are invited to showcase their work to raise awareness about one or more of the following social issues such as: Breaking Infertility Stigma, Supporting Girl Education, Women Empowerment, Ending Child Marriage, Ending FGM, and/or Stopping GBV at all levels.
For each category of print media, online media, radio and multimedia, winners will get $500. However, the selection committee may decide to grant awards to more winners for each category.
Journalists from Southern African, West African, East African, African French-Speaking and African Portuguese-Speaking Countries can apply for the Africa media recognition awards.
The deadline for applications is September 30, 2024.
