Nigerian and Sudanese journalists can apply for training on religious freedom

DEADLINE: MAY 15, 2021— The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), in collaboration with Code for Africa (C4A) and Sudan’s Ayin Network, seeks to train Nigerian and Sudanese journalists to help citizens overcome barriers to religious freedom.

The course will highlight country-specific areas where reporting and analysis on religious freedom issues can be addressed as well as a broader overview of key journalistic skills such as reporting securely and data journalism.

The program offers a combination of virtual in-person trainings, mentorship and grant opportunities to participants.

Upon completion of the 6 week training course, candidates will be asked to produce a story concerning religious freedom that will be mentored and published.

The application deadline is May 15, 2021.
