Ocean Reporting Fellowships seek proposals from journalists

DEADLINE: MAY 26, 2024 — The Pulitzer Center is accepting applications for the 2024-2025 Ocean Reporting Fellowships.

The Ocean Reporting Network (ORN) is a fellowship programme that gives professional journalists the opportunity to spend a whole year working on an in-depth or investigative ocean story.

Staff and freelance journalists can submit proposals on the main ocean threats of climate change; over- and illegal fishing; biodiversity loss and pollution; and the species, ecosystems, and communities that are being impacted, among others.

The full-time, yearlong Fellowships will cover a reporters’ salaries and provide additional reporting expenses.

The deadline for applications is May 26, 2024.
