DEADLINE: OCTOBER 1, 2025 — Reuters is looking for an exceptional journalist as Political and General News Correspondent to cover West and Central Africa.
The correspondent will spearhead Reuters’ coverage of the Democratic Republic of Congo whilst contributing to the broader West and Central Africa file.
This position is based in Dakar, Senegal. In addition to reporting on Congo, the successful candidate will become familiar with the 22 other countries Reuters covers from its Dakar bureau and be just as comfortable covering coups as commodities data.
To be a fit for the role of Politics & General News Correspondent, you will likely have demonstrable professional journalism experience and be fluent in French and English.
