Reporting initiative on intersection of tech and labour

DEADLINE: OCTOBER 4, 2024 — Rest of World is looking for 12 reporters from around the world to produce a series of stories at the intersection of tech and labour.

This reporting initiative on the intersection of technology and labour will examine how new technologies and tech companies are redefining the meaning of labour.

The reporters will become part of Rest of World’s Labour x Tech Contributor Network designed to engage international journalists who have a basic understanding of their local tech and business landscape.

While the organisation is looking for journalists from around the world, it is particularly interested in contributors from Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, UAE, Turkey, Egypt, Kenya, South Africa, Colombia and Brazil.

Contributors will be expected to publish four stories over the course of the year and will be paid a total of $5,000 for the four stories. ​
