DEADLINE: JANUARY 19, 2024 —The Associated Press seeks a video journalist and newsroom leader to work as a senior news producer in Dakar, Senegal or Rabat, Morocco.
The AP is looking for someone who will guide and support staff and freelance video journalists to craft a video news report that is rich in exclusive news, compelling live video and distinct, deeply reported enterprise.
Applicants must have demonstrated excellence as video journalists and/or field video producers and familiarity with West Africa, with a deep record of creating and/or guiding exclusive and distinctive video to publication.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, such as three years of full-time news experience as a video journalist at a daily newspaper, broadcast station, digital news outlet, or an AP bureau or regional desk is required.
All applicants must be able to work in Senegal or Morocco, or be able to gain permission to do so.
The deadline for applications is January 19, 2024.
