Sharon Begley Science Reporting Award

DEADLINE: APRIL 30, 2025 —The Council for the Advancement of Science Writing (CASW) is accepting entries for the 2025 Sharon Begley Science Reporting Award for outstanding mid-career science journalists.

The science reporting award includes a career prize and a grant of at least $20,000 to support an ambitious reporting project.

Experienced journalists with at least 8–10 years of work in science journalism—including print, audio, video, and online reporting—are encouraged to apply.

There is no entry fee, and journalists worldwide are eligible if their work is published in internationally accessible outlets.

The deadline for applications is April 30, 2025.
