The Whistler newspaper is currently seeking a Judiciary Correspondent.
To apply, you must have a minimum of 3-5 years of court/legal reporting experience, a Bachelor’s degree (Law, Mass Communication or Journalism is preferred), and a deep understanding of the Nigerian legal system, court procedures and key laws.
The judiciary correspondent will have excellent writing skills with the ability to simplify legal jargon and strong news judgment, speed, accuracy and ability to work under pressure (deadlines, long court sittings).
Good contacts in the legal community is a big plus.
