DEADLINE FEBRUARY 15, 2023 — The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) seeks nominations for 2023 UNESCO /Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize.
This Prize is awarded to a person, organisation or institution that has made a notable contribution to the defense and/or promotion of press freedom anywhere in the world, particularly if risks were involved.
Governments of Member States, in consultation with their National Commissions, as well as international and regional professional non-governmental organisations, active in the field of journalism and press freedom can nominate.
The winner will be awarded the sum of US$ 25,000.
The deadline for applications is February 15, 2023.
