Student journalists needed at PTCIJ’s UDEME project

DEADLINE: ROLLING —Premium Times Centre for Investigative Journalism (PTCIJ) invites student journalists to work on the UDEME project.

UDEME is a social accountability project that monitors capital, constituency and ecological projects to ensure that funds released for implementation are adequately utilized.
The project empowers citizens to become active participants in the democratic process by holding the government accountable.
Successful applicants will monitor and track federal and state government projects in Nigeria.

All interested U-Monitors must be good writers and passionate in demanding accountability from the government.

U-Monitors will attend a 3-day training which will focus on Investigative Reporting, Accountability Journalism, Stakeholder/Advocacy engagement, and FOI Writing.

Applicants must be students of higher institutions in Nigeria and must have no less than 2 years to graduation.

Interested students must be resident in the state where their institutions are located.
