Visual journalists can apply for €5,000 World Press Photo Digital Storytelling Contest

DEADLINE: JANUARY 12, 2021 — World Press Photo Foundation is currently accepting applications for the 2021 Digital Storytelling Contest for visual creators and storytellers worldwide.

The 2021 Digital Storytelling Contest marks the 11th edition of the contest.

The contest is open to digital storytellers, visual journalists, producers, and entry coordinators, with submissions that include the work of a professional visual journalist.

Every visual journalist must provide valid proof of current professional status.

The winners of the headline prizes ‘World Press Photo Interactive of the Year’ and ‘World Press Photo Online Video of the Year’ will both receive a cash prize of €5,000 euros.

Awarded productions will be showcased to a global audience and included in the World Press Photo exhibitions.

The contest is open for entries until January 12, 2021, 12.00 (noon) CET.

Nominees will be announced on the 10th of March 2021.

Winners will be announced on the 15th of April 2021.
