DEADLINE: OCTOBER 24, 2024 — The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) seeks entries for the 19th edition of the Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting (WSAIR).
The award for investigative reporting gives cash prizes, an award plaque, a certificate of commendation, a computer backup hard drive and an international study tour.
Professional reporters or teams of reporters (full-time or freelance) with published stories on themes ranging from regulatory failures, corruption in the public and corporate spheres, and human rights abuses in Nigeria can apply.
Apart from the investigative reporting category, the award also has two honorary awards— the Lifetime Award for Journalistic Excellence and the Anti-corruption Defender Award.
The deadline for entries is October 24, 2024.
