Knight-Wallace fellowships open to international journalists

DEADLINE: DECEMBER 1, 2024 — International journalists can apply for the 2025-2026 academic year of the Knight-Wallace Fellowships.

The fellowships offer a broad range of accomplished journalists an academic year of study and collaborative learning at the University of Michigan.

Qualified applicants must have a minimum of five years of experience and be currently working in some aspect of journalism for a news organisation or as an independent journalist.

Applications are invited from a diverse range of journalists, including reporters, editors, data experts, visual journalists, audio producers, engagement specialists, designers, developers, entrepreneurs and organisational change agents.

Areas of focus can include but are not limited to sharpening professional skills, addressing a challenge facing your newsroom, digging into data and research for a long-term reporting project, or developing a journalism venture.

Fellows will receive a stipend of $85,000 plus $5,000 for relocation expenses distributed monthly from August through April.

The deadline for international journalists to apply is December 1, 2024.
