DEADLINE: JULY 10, 2026 — The African Investigative Journalist of the Year Award is currently open for applications from journalists.
The prize money includes $5000 for the winner, $2000 for the runner-up, while the flights and accommodation costs of all finalists are covered to enable them to attend the African Investigative Journalist Conference.
The award is open to all African journalists or teams of journalists working in any media for stories from and about Africa published or broadcast in African media.
The submission must have been published or broadcast between July 1, 2025 and July 1, 2026.
Entries must include an electronic copy of the entry material as published/broadcast, 100-word biography and high-res photo of each entrant among other requirements.
The deadline for applications is July 10, 2026.
