2026 ECOWAS Excellence Awards open for entries

DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2026 — The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is accepting entries for the 2026 ECOWAS Excellence Awards.

The ECOWAS Media Excellence Awards 2026 will celebrate the contributions of journalists, reporters, producers, photographers and digital content creators.

The awards are aimed at rewarding the best journalistic and photographic productions highlighting the accomplishments, significant events and major milestones of ECOWAS.

Entries include work that has strengthened the understanding and visibility of ECOWAS initiatives in the four thematic areas of: 1. Political Affairs, Peace, and Security; 2. Infrastructure, Energy, and Digitalization; 3. Economic Affairs and Agriculture; and 4. Humanitarian and Social Affairs.

This award is open to journalists and media professionals from ECOWAS Member States and Non-ECOWAS countries.

The deadline for applications is October 31, 2026.
