DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 1, 2024 —Climate Home News is looking to hire a full-time energy transition reporter based in Africa to expand its coverage of international climate diplomacy. The role is fully remote even though some travel will be required.
The reporter is expected to produce regular news stories and features covering energy transition on the African continent and at the global level.
The ideal candidate should be a well-connected journalist with a few years’ experience, capable of proposing story ideas, cultivating sources, analysing data, and delivering accurate copy in English.
The role is a 12-month fixed-term freelance contract with the option of renewal, and the benefits include a salary within the range of $25,000-30,000 per year depending on experience and location.
