Call for applications: Rare Disease Reporting Fellowship and Grants

DEADLINE: OCTOBER 22, 2026 — The National Press Foundation (NPF) is accepting applications for its Rare Disease Reporting Fellowship and Grants.

As part of the programme, NPF will offer free online training for professional journalists in any medium and up to $2,000 in reporting grants to 20 journalists to cover travel expenses and time in executing a rare disease project of their choosing.

All accepted fellows will receive the training. Fellows who require and qualify for a reporting grant will receive $1,000 upon completion of the training and another $1,000 upon submission of their work.

The application deadline is October 22, 2026.
