DEADLINE: OCTOBER 10, 2024 — Edugist invites freelance journalists to pitch stories focused on solutions journalism in education across Nigeria.

Edugist is Africa’s leading impact-focused newsroom for education.

The organisation is looking for:

1. Impact-Driven Stories: Compelling narratives that highlight innovative solutions to education challenges in Africa.

2. In-Depth Reporting: Stories that go beyond problems, showing how individuals, communities, or institutions are solving key education issues.

3. Diverse Perspectives: Stories from various regions, showcasing grassroots efforts, policy innovations, or technological advancements in education.

Send your pitch (max 300 words) outlining the focus of your story, its solution-oriented approach, and why it matters. And format; written, audio or video. Include your portfolio or links to previous work.

Edugist will provide grant and coaching to get stories done in three weeks if selected.
