DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 4, 2020 ― Young journalists from around the world can apply for the paid 3-month climate journalism mentorship programme organised by Climate Tracker.
Eligible applicants for the climate journalism mentorship programme must be between 18 and 35 years old and must have at least one year of journalism experience and a history of writing quality climate stories.
Applicants must show considerable hunger to improve as journalists since this is a learning experience and possess the ability to take good quality photos.
Succesful climate journalism mentorship applicants will be expected to publish one climate feature story each month on Climate Tracker and one collaborative Feature in the third month.
As part of the diverse media mentorship programme, successful candidates will undergo a range of connected training and collaborations covering social media engagement, data and visual journalism, and podcasting. They will also join a wide network for fellows, such as Climate Tracker’s current sustainability solutions fellows.
Climate Tracker believes it is a great chance to sharpen their new media skills and amplify participants’ journalism career and marketability.
