DEADLINE: JUNE 24, 2022 —The Collaborative Media Engagement for Development, Inclusivity, and Accountability (CMEDIA) project is open for investigative, human interest story pitches.
Initiated by the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) and funded by the MacArthur Foundation, the collaborative media project invites pitches that focus on subnational issues from journalists from all genres across Nigeria.
The project is designed as a multi-level intervention for media independence and accountability at the subnational (state and local) levels of government.
Applicants will be expected to investigate, produce and publish human interest stories on health, rural dwellers, education, road infrastructure, girls and women, water, housing, insecurity, persons with disability, electricity and agriculture or a mix of the issues.
WSCIJ will choose a maximum of three best story pitches per category.
The deadline for applications is June 24, 2022.
