#CrisesofInequality UNRISD Media Contest seeks entries

DEADLINE: DECEMBER 4, 2022 The United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) is accepting entries for the #CrisesofInequality Media Contest.

The Media contest recognises the best journalistic materials that showcase the key themes of the Institute’s 2022 Flagship Report: Crises of Inequality: Shifting Power for a New Eco-Social Contract.

Through the contest, journalists will help increase awareness on the urgency to build a new eco-social contract based on visions of justice, equality and sustainability.

The top three entries will receive USD 1,000, USD 750 and USD 500 respectively.

A special prize of USD 500 will be awarded to the best publication from a young (under the age of 30) reporter outside of the top three.

Journalists from the global South, people of colour, people from Indigenous and local communities, women, youth, and LGBTQ+ persons are strongly encouraged to submit entries.
