DIG Awards for investigative stories in video and audio formats

The deadline for DIG Awards, which recognise the best investigative stories in video and audio formats, has been extended.

Reporters who use video and audio to investigate current social, economic, technological, environmental and political issues can apply for the awards.

The awards are in 3 main categories: Video (open to documentaries and films), Audio (open to podcasts and radio productions) and the Pitch (open to video projects still in development and production phase).

Freelancers, broadcasters, media companies, newspapers and magazines both online and in print, radio stations, agencies, platforms, consortia, associations, and production companies can apply.

While submissions for the audio and pitch categories are free of charge, applicants will pay entry fee of €20 for each submission in all video categories.

The DIG Pitch awards up to €15,000 in funding but other categories awards non-monetary prizes.

The deadline for video and audio categories is now June 22, 2023 while the deadline for the pitch award category remains July 15, 2023.
