Fellowship for early-career science journalists

DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2022 — The Open Notebook (TON) is accepting applications for the 2023 fellowship programme for early-career science journalists.

The fellowship is a paid, part-time remote programme for science journalists who work with a mentor to plan, report, and write articles for publication and become part of the TON editorial team.

The ten-month fellowship, beginning from January 30 to November 30, offers fellows the opportunity to explore their career interests and passions and to sharpen their skills.

Selected science journalists will receive a
stipend of $5,500.

The fellowship is open to early-career science journalists with less than two years of regular professional science writing experience.

The application deadline is October 31, 2022.
