Grants programme seeks projects on connections between US and Nigeria

DEADLINE: MARCH 3, 2025 — Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) can submit proposals for projects that strengthen the connections between the United States and Nigeria.

The Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Consulate General Lagos seeks projects highlighting the shared goals and values of the two countries.

This open competition is open to NGOs that are either registered in Nigeria or the United State that will implement their projects in the U.S. Consulate’s area of responsibilities: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Imo, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo and Rivers states.

All proposals must include an American component, with focus on entrepreneurship and innovation; women and girls’ empowerment; promotion of democracy, good governance, transparency, and human rights; press freedom and media training; and education (focus on public secondary school and higher education institutions).

The deadline for applications is March 3, 2025.
