Journalists can apply for this ICIR training on misinformation

DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 22, 2023 —The International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR) seeks applications for its “Countering Misinformation and Promoting Media Literacy in Nigeria Project”.

The countering misinformation project aims to reduce misinformation in Nigeria by training and providing financial support for selected journalists to provide critical fact-check content.

For this training, The ICIR will select 30 journalists from different media organisations in Nigeria.

Applications are welcome from journalists with at least two years of experience practising as print, electronic and online media. Freelancers with a track record of critical fact-checking skills can also apply.

Interested applicants must provide proof of previous fact-checking content published in the last 12 months.

Qualified female journalists are strongly encouraged to apply.

The deadline for applications is September 22, 2023.
