MIT Technology Review seeks pitches from freelance journalists, writers

MIT Technology Review is inviting freelance journalists and writers to submit story pitches on technology, science and their impact on society.

Writers of all experience levels and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The publication is particularly interested in hearing from journalists and writers from under-represented backgrounds in technology and science journalism, as well as contributors based outside the United States.

MIT Technology Review publishes a broad range of journalism, including breaking news, feature stories, investigations and long-form reporting.

Pitches should focus not only on technology itself but also on the intersection of technology and human experiences, exploring how innovation is shaping communities, industries and everyday life.

Successful pitches should offer compelling, original and timely stories that help readers understand the ways technology is changing the world.

Freelance rates range from $1 to $2 per word, depending on the writer’s experience, the nature of the story and the publication format.
