OSIWA accepting applications for media grants

MONDAY, APRIL 30 ― The Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) is accepting applications from local organisations based in West Africa that seek funding to carry out projects.

Local organisations in West African countries including Benin, Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal and Sierra Leone can apply.

OSIWA, a grant-making and advocacy foundation that is part of the global Open Society Foundations Network, has its headquarters in Dakar and has country offices in Abuja, Monrovia, Freetown and Conakry.

OSIWA works to support the creation of open societies in West Africa marked by functioning democracy, good governance, the rule of law, basic freedoms, and widespread civic participation.

OSIWA supports innovative interventions with effective strategies that respond to the broader deep-seated political, justice and socio-economic roadblocks to open society in West Africa.

  • Free, Quality and Independent Media
  • Equality and Anti-Discrimination
  • Democratic Practice

Proposals should be sent preferably online via the online submission form or to proposals@osiwa.org.

The application deadline is April 30th, 2020.
