#PreventEpidemicsNaija Journalism Awards now open for nominations

DEADLINE: MAY 23RD 2024 — The Nigeria Health Watch is now receiving applications for the 2023/2024 edition of the #PreventEpidemicsNaija Journalism Awards.

Interested applicants are expected to submit articles or programmes in the print, online and radio categories that must have been published or aired between the period of January 1, 2023, to May 22, 2024.

According to the organisers, the nominated entries must;

  • Communicate the many dimensions of epidemic preparedness in Nigeria.
  • Inform on the current state of epidemic preparedness in Nigeria, with a special focus on funding.
  • Highlight and scrutinize budgeting and funding for epidemic preparedness in Nigeria.
  • Improve community awareness on infectious diseases, empower citizens to demand more funding for epidemic preparedness and hold power to account.

Selected winners in the different categories will be announced at the award ceremony scheduled to be held on the 21st of June 2024.
