DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 15, 2024 — The 2024 Local Letters for Global Change writing contest by the Pulitzer Centre welcomes entries from K-12 students across the globe.
K-12 students, also referred to as primary and secondary school students, can make their voices heard by writing a letter to a local elected representative.
The letter should explain a global issue, show how it connects to their local community, and propose a solution.
Letters for the writing contest may be written in English and/or Spanish and should address one of the Pulitzer Centre’s five focus issues: Climate and Environment, Global Health, Human Rights, Information and Artificial Intelligence, and Peace and Conflict.
Prizes include $300 for first place winners, $75 for finalists, and publication on the Pulitzer Centre’s website.
The deadline for the contest is November 15, 2024.
