DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2026 — Punocracy has opened entries for the fourth edition of its Prize for Satire competition, which promotes satire as a tool for socio-political commentary.
The competition is open to Nigerians aged 15 to 30 as of December 2026, and submissions are accepted in forms including prose, drama, news, poetry, speeches, letters, essays, adverts and other creative formats.
Entries must be original, unpublished, written in English, between 500 and 2,000 words, and must creatively use wit, irony, sarcasm and/or ridicule to criticise faults.
The first-place winner will receive N500,000, while the second- and third-place winners will receive N200,000 and N150,000 respectively.
The deadline to submit entries is October 31, 2026.
