DEADLINE: MAY 14, 2025 — The Nigeria Democratic Report (NDR) invites applications for the positions of reporters and fact-checkers.
NDR is an independent online news portal and media resource managed by the International Press Centre (IPC). While the roles of reporters of based in Abuja, the fact-checkers wil be in Lagos.
Some key responsibilities of the reporters include covering events and conducting investigations related to Nigeria’s electoral processes and associated matters of democratic governance events.
The reporters must have verifiable reporting experience, preferably covering political or civic beats for at least 5 years.
On the other hand, some key responsibilities of the fact-checkers include monitoring political and electoral news content for false claims by text, audio and video constituting disinformation, misinformation and Mal-information.
Background in journalism, data/investigative reporting, research or communication studies or any other field is required for the fact-checkers.
The deadline for applications is May 14, 2025.
