TheCable is hiring news and business editors in Lagos

DEADLINE: MARCH 31, 2023— TheCable newspaper is accepting applications for the positions of news and business editors in Lagos State.

TheCable seeks young, highly skilled and well-motivated team players who are keen on having challenging and rewarding careers.

The news and business editors must have relevant journalism experience, with strong analytical, creative and organisational skills, as well as proficiency in modern, digital journalism.

Editing experience in a quality newspaper is a significant advantage.

NEWS EDITOR
As the head of the newsroom, the news editor will assign stories to reporters, edit copies for publication, exercise judgment on story angles and priorities, check for legal and ethical issues and stand in for the editor when necessary.

BUSINESS EDITOR
To head the business desk, the business editor will be directly responsible for the editorial contents of the business section: news, features, opinions and analyses.
