SEJ offers award to environmental journalists

DEADLINE: MAY 1, 2023 — The Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) seeks submissions for its annual awards that recognise excellence in environmental reporting.

The awards honour environmental journalists in 10 different categories, which include feature story, investigative reporting, explanatory reporting and book.

First-place winners will receive $500 while second place receive $250. The winner of the Nina Mason Pulliam Award for the “best of the best” environmental reporting will receive US$10,000.

Entry fee for SEJ members is $45 while discounted entry fee of $10 may be used by journalists in low-to-middle-income-economy countries Non-members who do not wish to join will pay $110 per entry.

The deadline for applications is May 1, 2023.
