DEADLINE: JANUARY 7, 2021 — BBC World Service seeks to employ a senior journalist reporter in Nairobi, Kenya.
The journalist will cover business stories for a ten-month fixed term contract.
The ideal candidate must have an excellent command of English and Swahili language with a strong experience in journalistic and business reporting.
Reporter will work closely with the London, Nairobi, Lagos and Johannesburg bureaux and prepare material for the various outlets such as Business TV features, News bulletins, Online or social.
The reporter will be responsible for sourcing and briefing contributors for live and edited stories as well as interview them for broadcast.
The selected candidate must be able to write online text pieces & analysis, report live on developing stories, and have a thorough understanding of young African audience.
