WSCIJ: Safety workshop for investigative reporters

DEADLINE: JUNE 10, 2026 — The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) is accepting applications for its safety workshop for investigative reporters.

Senior investigative journalists and editors in Nigeria can apply for the two-day virtual Holistic Safety Workshop for Investigative Reporters scheduled for June 18 and 19, 2026.

The safety workshop is designed to equip participants with practical knowledge and tools to navigate the legal, digital, physical and psychosocial risks associated with investigative journalism.

Through expert-led sessions and interactive engagements, participants will strengthen their capacity to identify, assess and respond to threats while carrying out public-interest reporting.

The workshop is part of the Civic Space Guard initiative, which supports the safety, resilience and preparedness of journalists working to promote accountability and civic space in Nigeria.

The deadline for applications is June 10, 2026.
