WSCIJ’s mental health workshop for investigative journalists

DEADLINE: MARCH 12, 2026 — The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ), through its Civic Space Guard programme, invites investigative journalists and editors in Nigeria to apply for a one-day virtual workshop on mental health and emotional resilience.

This confidential session is designed to support journalists who are currently working on, or have recently completed, sensitive or high-risk investigations and may be experiencing emotional strain from their work.

The session will hold virtually on Tuesday, March 18, 2026, and will run for three hours.

The workshop will provide a safe space for reflection and honest conversations about the psychological impact of investigative journalism.

Participants will also learn practical coping strategies to help them manage stress, strengthen emotional resilience and sustain their capacity to report responsibly and effectively.

The application deadline is March 12, 2026.
