DEADLINE: OCTOBER 10, 2025— The Centre for Journalism Innovation & Development (CJID) is inviting student journalists from universities and polytechnics across Nigeria to submit their best work for recognition in the 2025 edition of Alfred Opubor Prize for Campus Journalism.
This prize celebrates exceptional journalistic efforts emerging from campuses nationwide, aiming to nurture the next generation of storytellers and media leaders.
Entries may include Investigative, Feature, Data, and Solution-focused reports published during the applicant’s time as a student and can span print, online, audio, video, or multimedia formats.
Submissions will be assessed based on originality, significance, quality of reporting, depth of investigation, and overall impact.
The top three finalists will be honoured at the CJID’s Excellence in Journalism Awards ceremony in November 2025, closing the centre’s annual Media and Development Conference.
