DEADLINE: MARCH 30, 2025 — The Earth Journalism Network (EJN) is offering grants to media organisations to enhance biodiversity coverage and strengthen journalist capacity in lower- and middle-income countries.
The Biodiversity Media Grants aim to address the imbalance in media attention and funding between climate action and biodiversity conservation.
EJN will award three to four grants of €10,000-€12,000 to support projects that produce in-depth biodiversity stories, investigative collaborations, journalist training, or innovative media tools. Projects should focus on themes such as nature-based solutions, alternative conservation methods, digital sequence information and the unintended effects of conservation measures.
Eligible applicants include media organisations, journalist networks, academic institutions, and civil society groups affiliated with journalism.
The deadline for applications is March 30, 2025.
