2025 fellowship for African Investigative Journalism Conference

DEADLINE: MAY 23, 2025 — The African Investigative Journalism Conference (AIJC) is accepting applications for its 2025 Fellowship programme.

One track of the 2025 fellowship is open to practising early-career journalists under the age of 30 with no more than five years of professional experience, while the second is designed for mid-career journalists with five years or more experience.

Applications from freelance journalists are strongly encouraged.

The fellowship will cover major travel expenses, including return flights from the applicant’s home country to the conference location, local shuttles, accommodation, conference registration fees and meals during the event.

Selected fellows will be required to produce and publish at least one investigative piece inspired by the conference, in any format (print, broadcast or online) within three months after the event concludes.

The deadline for applications is May 23, 2025.
