DEADLINE: NOVEMBER 8, 2024 — Global Press invites women journalists to apply for its 2025 reporting fellowship on shifting democracies.
Global Press’ Shifting Democracies fellows will examine changing governance structures in countries around the world, and how those shifts are interconnected.
The fellowship for women journalists will start in January 2025 and last until December 2026. Fellows will be paid up to $30,000 per year based on local market rates.
During this two-year, fellows will produce investigative and explanatory journalism, participate in advanced skills training and be part of an international cohort of women journalists all working remotely.
Fellows must live full-time in one of the 15 coverage countries for the duration of the two-year fellowship.
The eligible countries include Nigeria, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, El Salvador, India, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Uganda.
Interested women journalists must have at least five years of prior newsroom, reporting or related experience and a track record of producing high-quality journalism.
The deadline for applications is November 8, 2024.
