The Excellence in Tax Reform Reporting Award will be open for applications on December 31, 2025.
The Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee designed the award to recognise and reward journalists and online influencers who provide balanced, accurate and impactful reporting on Nigeria’s ongoing tax reforms.
The Excellence in Tax Reporting Award aims to strengthen constructive public discourse, counter misinformation and promote journalism that explains reforms in ways citizens can trust and understand.
It is open to all Nigerian journalists across print, broadcast and online platforms, as well as digital influencers, bloggers and podcasters.
Work must have been published between July 1 and December 31, 2025, in English, Pidgin, Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba.
The first, second and third prize winners will receive N10 million, N5 million and N3 million, respectively.
The top 20 finalists will receive a consolation prize of N1 million.
Evaluation criteria include accuracy and technical correctness; balance and fairness; clarity and accessibility; public engagement and reach; and creativity and innovation.
Applications will open via the official portal fiscalreforms.ng by December 31, and enquiries can be made via enquiries@fiscalreforms.ng or 08109753151 (WhatsApp).
