Vacancy: Programme Officer for SRHR projects in Abuja

DEADLINE: DECEMBER 12, 2025 — Lawyers Alert, an organisation working to promote human rights, seeks a passionate and experienced Programme Officer based in Abuja to support its Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) projects.

The ideal candidate will contribute to programme design, document SRHR-related rights violations, lead advocacy efforts, support grant writing, and collaborate with partners, government agencies, and civil society organisations.

Lawyers Alert is looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage.

Applicants must have:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in SRHR or human rights programming
  • Strong project management and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) skills
  • Excellent writing, research, and communication abilities
  • Proven experience in grant writing and responding to RFPs
  • Solid understanding of Nigeria’s SRHR legal and policy framework
