DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 13, 2026 — Mid-career journalists can apply for the 2026–27 Journalist Fellowship Programme at the Reuters Institute.
Reuters Institute’s fellowship offers journalists the opportunity to take time away from their newsrooms to explore journalism in depth through personal research, seminars, networking and peer discussions.
Most fellows are fully funded, with fees covered and a monthly stipend of £2,000 provided for living expenses, alongside travel and visa costs.
Around 30 journalists from across the world are selected each year, bringing together professionals from Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific, North America and Latin America. Participants are expected to return to journalism after completing the programme and to refrain from professional work during the fellowship period.
Eligible applicants must have at least five years of journalistic experience or demonstrate equivalent expertise.
The deadline for applications is February 13, 2026.
