
DEADLINE: JULY 24, 2026 — African Angle’s development reporting challenge seeks to reward excellence in development journalism and impact storytelling.
Writers, journalists, freelancers, student journalists, public analysts and researchers are invited to report on the state of the Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) in their communities to win N500,000.
While the winner will get N500,000, there will be consolation prizes for two runner-ups.
The articles, minimum of 2000 words and not more than 3500 words, must be written using the following indicators: staffing, accessibility, affordabilty and structural integrity.
Articles must be original, reflecting community-based situations, enriched with research data, photos and local voices.
