
DEADLINE: AUGUST 7, 2026 —The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) is inviting newsroom editors, editorial leaders and media managers across Nigeria to apply for its high-level dialogue and newsroom engagement programme on the future of journalism in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Organised through the CJID AI Community of Practice (CoP) under the Nigeria AI Collective, the programme will examine how AI is transforming journalism, including its impact on news production, media sustainability, copyright, content licensing, platform accountability and AI governance.
Selected participants will deepen their understanding of AI’s implications for journalism, contribute newsroom perspectives to discussions shaping Nigeria’s AI future and become part of a growing network promoting responsible AI adoption in the media.
Participants will also be eligible for a post-dialogue newsroom support grant aimed at strengthening AI reporting within their organisations.
The application deadline is August 7, 2026.
