The role is a full-time, fully remote position for candidates who are based anywhere in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Africa Editor will be responsible for commissioning, editing and reporting impactful Tracking the Backlash investigations in Africa, including Francophone West Africa.
Applicants must have professional fluency in English, several years of experience as an English-language editor, and a minimum of six years of full-time investigative journalism experience.
Women and LGBTIQ candidates who have demonstrable passion for independent media projects are particularly encouraged to apply.
