Apply for 2022 Banff Mountain Film Competition

DEADLINE: AUGUST 3, 2022 — Filmmakers are invited to apply for the 2022 Banff Mountain Film Competition.

Organised as part of the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival, the event brings the best films and books on mountains and the spirit of adventure from around the world to the mountain town of Banff, Alberta.

The Festival provides an opportunity for filmmakers and writers to meet and exchange ideas.

The grand prize winner will receive CAD5,000 while winners for the best film in each category will receive CAD2,500.

Films must have been produced in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Applicants can submit films in several categories: climbing, mountain sports and high adrenaline films, mountain culture, environment, snow sports, and exploration and adventure.

The deadline to apply for the film competition is August 3, 2022.
