Apply for COP27 journalism fellowship

DEADLINE: AUGUST 19, 2022 —Climate Tracker invites applications for its 2022 climate justice journalism fellowship for young reporters to cover the COP27.

Journalists can apply for the global COP27 journalism fellowship in-person or virtual.

The UN Climate Negotiations (COP27) will take place from 7-18 November 2022 in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

As an in-person fellow, 10 journalists will join the team, working on publishing stories in their local media as well as through Climate Tracker. The organisers will cover the full cost of travel, accommodation, stipend, and give fellows 1 month of pre-COP27 online training.

For the virtual fellowship, fellows will receive
€250 stipend, 1 month of online training, mentoring, and opportunities to work on collaborative stories with other reporters.

Applicants must be willing to learn about climate politics and be from or living in a developing country.

The ideal candidates must be 18-35 years old and must have at least 1 year of journalism experience with a proven history of writing quality climate stories.

The deadline for applications is August 19th, 2022.
