Apply for #DATA4COVID19 challenge

DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 5, 2021 — Organizations that focus on data are invited to submit a project to #DATA4COVID19 Africa Challenge.

The challenge was launched by Agence Française de Développement (AFD), Expertise France, and The GovLab.

The organizers are looking for innovative proposals that (re)use data to provide actionable intelligence for decision-makers and people to respond to COVID-19 and future pandemic challenges across Africa.

Submissions on COVID-19 in public health, economic and socio-political domains as well as data collaborations are encouraged.

Up to ten recipients will receive US50,000 to US$100,000 in funding.

Interested applicants must submit their application in English or French.

To be eligible for a grant, the applicant must:

  • Be a legal person (legal entity) or a grouping of such persons (consortium) within the limit of 3 legal persons per grouping.
  • The lead partner of the consortium must be established in one of the African Union countries.

The deadline for submission of proposals is February 5, 2021.
