DEADLINE: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2020 ― Civic Media Lab is inviting journalists to apply for the Nigerian Criminal Justice Reporting Fellowship.
This fellowship combines training, mentoring and collaboration to produce stories that promote accountability and transparency in the judiciary.
Selected fellows will investigate and break stories which expose corruption and accountability issues in the criminal justice system, highlight causative factors and propose solutions.
Staff and independent journalists in Nigeria are eligible to apply. Journalists covering judiciary and human rights are particularly encouraged to apply.
Application opens on September 16 and closes on September 28, 2020.
Selection will be completed on September 30, 2020. Successful journalists will be invited for a 2-day virtual masterclass in October.
Fellows would be funded by the Civic Media Lab to conduct their investigations.
